I accidentally watched this one instead of the 1944 Till We Meet Again which I meant to watch considering, and get this, an uploader on the Russian Youtube lied!!! I was already begrudgingly settling for a VHS-level representation of the movie because I couldn't find annihilation else and it had to be the wrong damn moving picture on elevation of everything else.

Looking at Wikipedia, this is also a remake of Ane Way Passage with William Powell and Kay Francis as the leads, so good god, the disappointments but keep on rolling in. Lacks the snappiness of the original for information technology takes a different approach as a pure romantic composition taking full advantage of it's chief assets. The incredible beauty of Merle Oberon and the gentle nature of George Brent! And as a romantic piece is works strikingly, but I exercise adopt the tone of the first version with William Powell & Kay Francis! Didn't care for the original and didn't really enjoy the remake. The performances were skilful I only discover the story as well sappy and annoying.
Definitely a poor man'southward One Way Passage in every sense of the word. In that location is no reason to meet this unless you are a completionist of any of the actors involved. On the plus side, Geraldine Fitzgerald and Merle Oberon practise agree this together quite well, despite the former non existence in this nearly enough and the latter having a somewhat slow leading male.
this film was very good! in many ways it's comparable to an affair to remember. merle oberon gives a gorgeous operation hither. george brent and geraldine fitzgerald were likewise adept. the script is amazing, and this is definitely 1 to watch if you desire that former-hollywood cinema magic. (who could e'er say no to that?) i thought the plot and conflicts of the characters themselves and the characters together were very unique. the ending is left upwards to viewer estimation, which i usually hate because i like to accept all the answers, but with this one i really didn't mind it too much, i thought it was a smart mode to end information technology. i loved the take on how dearest makes yous feel like a part of another person, and i loved the dialogue surrounding the idea of saying goodbye without maxim information technology. i could definitely come across myself rewatching this 1 from fourth dimension to time.

This is a remake of One Mode Passage (1932).
The stride of the flick was wobbly in the showtime - they could have cut the gags of some secondary characters to tighten it up. The characters all needed evolution except the ii male leads (the cop and the con about to be hanged). I could not sympathize with the poor little rich daughter with the final illness so this wasn't the tear jerker for me that it was for others. Wasn't she suspicious that Dan never brought upwards marriage? Why did she throw a tantrum when Dan said sayonara? Her psychology was totally bizarre. There were some adept lines but in that location weren't enough to redeem this dud.
